There’s an impressive total of seven restaurants in the mix, serving Italian, Chinese and sushi, to name a few. The restaurant and bar tally totals up at nine hotspots – the grill even brews its own LandShark lager right on site. Get involved with a game of volleyball, football or work out at the gym. Then, there’s regular live music in the evenings from local bands and DJs, which you can take in from one of the grill’s two terraces overlooking the sea.

Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar – Punta Cana, Dominican Republic

Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar is a properly high-class, luxurious spot – it’s been voted one of Tripadvisor’s top All Inclusive resorts. They don’t do rooms here, they do suites… that says it all. They all come with a balcony or terrace and the all-important bathrobe and slippers, or you can upgrade to a swim-up version. Huge gardens wrap around the place and it’s right on a white-sand beach, where you can find flowy cabanas and shady sunloungers. Gazebos are also set up here for massages or you can hop over to the Bahia Spa. Then, the lake-style pool lines up right by the sand, with its own swim-up bar, whirlpools and water pilates sessions. Other activities available include kayaking, snorkelling and diving – this is the Dominican Republic after all. The hotel has its own tennis courts, volleyball, paddle-boarding and dance lessons on offer, too. Plus, a huge bonus, you get a six-for-one deal here – there might be three à la carte restaurants on site, but you get access to the rest at the other five Bahia Principe hotels in the resort with your stay. Fill your bellies and find yourself dancing away at the live music events.

Globales Santa Lucia – Palma Nova, Majorca

Globales Santa Lucia isn’t just on one sandy beach, it’s straddled between two, and only five minutes’ walk to Palma Nova. As a result, rooms come with sea views as standard here. And, if you’re travelling solo – an All Inclusive stay is the ultimate bit of me-time – they even offer single rooms, as well as the classic superior and twin set-ups. With a superior upgrade though, you’ll also get access to the rooftop terrace and sundeck with the best views over Son Matias beach. The main pool is right next to the sand and comes with a pool bar with all your classic cocktails on tap. Only a glass screen separates you and the beach, so the scenes are completely uninterrupted. There’s also an indoor pool with a whirlpool bath open from November to April, so you can pick to swim there if you travel out of season when things tend to be a bit cooler – and cheaper. The restaurant’s a buffet and there are sometimes themed nights to shake it up a bit. The Lounge Bar also has regular evening entertainment, featuring quiz nights, bingo, comedy acts, and cabaret shows.

Cooks Club Corfu – Gouvia, Corfu

Cooks Club Corfu nails the five-star feel. The natural tones, use of wood, hanging lantern lights and palm trees bring a touch of Bali to this Greek Island. You can stroll into the city centre within half an hour but there are still restaurants and bars a couple of minutes’ away from the hotel. Eat at six different restaurants, serving everything from Greek to Italian, Middle Eastern and Asian, and have a boogie at Erato Club Bar after. Princess Inspire Tenerife – Costa Adeje, Tenerife

Princess Inspire Tenerife got the memo for a boujie summer white party. A long, rectangular pool is decorated with chic white loungers, stripey umbrellas and grand pillars – think a modern-day, Greek Parthenon, turn five-star hotel. It’s sat in the popular resort of Costa Adeje on Tenerife’s south-west coast and there are two beaches less than a five-minute walk away. The bigger Playa del Duque isn’t much further either and is backed by seafood restaurants if you fancy eating out. You walk down from the columned reception area to the main pool first, which is heated and has a bar. But there are two smaller pools on a different level too, and a pair of sunbathing terraces with Balinese beds and waiter service – you can’t be getting your own drinks! Health is wealth, so Bar 1999 serves smoothies, but then also life is about balance, so Lyon Club brings the cocktails and dancing after dark. If you fancy Christmas or New Year’s Day here, they put on gala dinners with a formal dress code so you can feel a bit fancy. Of course, there’s also a spa, gym and beauty centre, so it’s safe to say, you’re sorted.
